Independent filmmakers Ken & Betty Rodgers have produced a powerful new documentary titled "I Married the War". The film tells the stories of 11 military wives whose lives were forever changed when their spouses returned from combat.Ken Rodgers saw combat in Vietnam with the Marine Corps and was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received at the Battle of Khe San.
“Flying in the Face of Fear” – A10 Pilot Kim Campbell
A-10 pilot Kim Campbell's aircraft was hit by a surface to air missile over Baghdad, knocking out the planes hydraulics. She was able to nurse her badly damaged plane 300 miles back to base. Maintainers counted more than 600 holes in her aircraft.Kim would be awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for that mission.
