Matthew Marsden has played military characters in several movies including Blackhawk Down and Tranformers: Revenge of Fallen. He has been named a Kentucky Colonel in recognition of his support for the military.  “I Am That Man” is his directorial debut and he joins us the same day as the film premiers.

Our “Friday Pilots” feature returns with Alex Wright.  Alex is a fighter pilot with over 5,000 hours in the cockpit. 14 of those hours were on two combat missions during the last battle of the war in Indochina; the rescue of the SS Mayaguez.  He flew with both the Air Force and the Air National Guard for over 32 years.

The wreckage of the USS Hornet was recently discovered in the South Pacific.  This aircraft carrier played a significant role in many World War II battles including the Doolittle Raid and the Battle of Midway.  Samuel Cox, Director of the Naval History and Heritage Command joins us to discuss this important discovery.

Sally served six years in the US Army and was a member of the Army’s prestigious World Class Athlete program. She is a three time women’s wrestling national champion and 2008 Olympic Alternate. In 2016 she founded the non-profit organization “Wrestle Like a Girl” with the premise that girls can do anything and through that sport realize their full potential.
