Charles Ritter is retiring after a 26 year career in the Army. He had 17 deployments (12 combat deployments) and has been awarded the Silver Star, a Bronze Star w/ Valor, an Army Commendation for Valor and three Purple Hearts. He recently underwent his 31st surgery for wounds received in combat.

Jeannie Tucker’s father James Tucker landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day as part of the 299th Combat Engineer Battallion. She is now dedicated to collecting and sharing the stories of this dedicated group of soldiers.
