Pin-Ups for Vets - Gina Elise
In 2006 Gina Elise became frustrated at news articles about under-funded Veteran’s healthcare and older Veterans who lay in bed day after day never receiving visitors. Inspired by her grandfather’s service in World War II she founded Pin-Ups For Vets to raise funds for hospitalized Veterans and brighten up Veteran’s days. Their calendar features female service members in vintage “Pin-Up” style photos.

Richard "Eager" Evans
Richard Evans earned the nickname “Eager” while an aviation cadet. He flew 54 missions in North Africa, Italy and other German held territory and one mission in Japan. He was selected to pilot the B-17 “won” by British General Montgomery in a bet.  His family has compiled his correspondence and personal recollections in a wonderful new book written by his daughter Barbara Kinnear.
